We have been made aware that buses are currently not running through Honingham until 4th August. The announcement from Konect Buses website is as follows:
25th July – 3rd August. Affecting route 4. Due to road works on Norwich Road, Mattishall there will be a diversion in place on route 4. Buses towards Norwich will divert from Mattishall Church via Burgh Lane, Mattishall Lane, Fox Lane to A47. This diversion will be in place in both directions. During this closure East Tuddenham and Honingham will not be served. During this period, we will only be able to use single deck buses.
Norfolk County Council have recently announced proposals to review the amount of money they provide to bus subsidies. This means it is likely some bus services will change or even stop. Norfolk County Council have published a list of bus services potentially affected, of which the Konect 4 bus which serves Honingham, is one of them. We urge all parishioners to complete the feedback form on the Norfolk County Council website and help us to try and protect this vital service to the village.

Thought you’d like to see these pics.
This morning a car left the road and demolished the Dereham bound bus stop. If anybody had been waiting there they would have been mincemeat!
This is exactly what I have always feared would happen – such a stupid place for a bus stop.
I hope this will be more ammunition in your attempts to get the buses rerouted. You may use the pics for any publicity you care to try.
